Art in hanging rugs and wall tapestry

"Mexican paradise hanging on your wall"

As we walked through the towns of Oaxaca we realized the great diversity of textiles that exist with different techniques such as backstrap loom and pedal loom. The master artisans commonly use cotton or wool as raw material, as well as natural dyeing based on fruits, plants, natural minerals, insects and vegetables that give a more unique value to their designs inspired by their Zapotec culture, which for us are a real work of art.

One of the towns that elaborate these beautiful products is Teotitlán del Valle. Not too far from Oaxaca City, the town has become nationally and internationally famous for its ancestral technique and the originality of its creations.

Our master artisans do a spectacular job, starting with the manual brushing of the wool, then passing it to a wooden spinning wheel where the fibers are spun, then dyed with materials extracted from nature, and finally comes the time to weave the rugs with the pedal loom, this activity takes about 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design.

We are confident that our handwoven wall art products will undoubtedly be a topic of conversation, for their bohemian and elegant style, which will adorn any space in your beautiful home.
